Question on installing FF rails

Ok, here's the plan...

I have a Sabre Defence M4 and I am going to change out the 16" barrel and add the Larue 7" free-floating rail.

The barrel I'm getting is Sabre factory barrel of 14.5" NATO chrome-lined w/ 1:7 twist. It is to have the A2 flash hider permanently attached, for overall length of 16". With YHM flip-up front sight.

Since the front sight is 2 piece, this won't be a problem removing. However, I'm trying to figure out if the barrel nut or anything else will - or will not - be able to slide over the flash hider (since it will be permanently attached) during the installation of rail system. Only thing I can see that will be a problem and will have to be cut probably is the handguard cap next to front sight. My other worry is the barrel nut..it looks of sufficient diameter to slide off the front, but I don't know.

I've been reading this forum for some time and it is loaded with good professional advice. Thanks for your help folks.

You will not have any issues. Both the factory barrel nut and the LT barrel nut will fit over the pinned FS.

Thanks for your reply. After doing more research on this site I think I may go with a traditional (is it forged?) front site base.
