my "Ghetto" BDM .22 magazine thumb saver loader

i was tired of sore fingers and thumbs loading my BDM full size .22 magazines, so i made my own thumb loader, modified out of a pistol mag loader. not pretty, but works quite well.

Brilliant!

I had my first outing with the BDM mags just yesterday -- and my only complaint is that the mags SUCK to load past the first few rounds.

I remember seeing somewhere that someone had drilled a hole in the bottom of the mag and attached a short string to the underside of the follower. Pull down on string, retract follower, load rounds.

Anyone else try this?

yeah, i saw that, but then you got a string hanging out the bottom of the mag when it's loaded like a tampon pull cord.
