Phoenix Freedom March

I'm not the best at explaining, so you may want to check it out here:

http://www.arizonashooting.com/forum...st=0&sk=t&sd=a

Basically, we're trying to organize a march through downtown Phoenix (shooting for sometime in October). This isn't necessarily a pro-gun/pro-2A march, but pro-freedom. A lot of ideas are being kicked around at this point, and if you have something to add, feel free to jump in.

I'm not the organizer, just trying to help spread the word. It's time to take a stand and let our voices be heard that we're tired of the way things have been running lately. Maybe if this gathers enough momentum, people in other states can do the same. With enough folks making a stand, it would certainly be hard to ignore...

Thanks,
-WRM

- I think October is still too damn hot for a march through downtown Phoenix
- Reading the posts on your link, it appeared that it is precisely a pro-gun march (whether or not to carry open or empty holster seemed to be what was most discussed)
- Make sure your group organizer talks with the COP and the PPD to discuss your plans; they will put you in touch with the people to talk to to ensure you have the proper parade permit and you give the PPD, and possibly Capitol Police, advanced notice of what you're planning, as a professional courtesy.
- Just a thought: you can have a 98% positive RKBA march, but you can bet that the one negative moment will be what shows up on the news and in the media.

And are you going to give them your holster and handgun too?
