Troy Rail help Needed

I have a set of Troy Industries Drop-In rails that I tried to install on a Colt 6920 upper. The top rail went in fine, but the bottom section won't fit under the front handguard cap and appears to be hanging up on the square "dimples" that are there.
has anyone else had this happen, and, is there a cure?

Not that your situation is exactly the same as mine, but I had a similar struggle recently with these on an LMT upper I recently got. I just fought with it until eventually it worked. I really had to get the delta ring down so that it could move more laterally into position and not so much of a direct angle.

But it made me feel that much better about how tight/sold the fit was.

Someone else might know something I don't about Colt having a slightly different dimensions, but it's probably just a really tight fit.

Thanks

Your brute force suggestion worked well, ended up installing the bottom first and the top last, and with a lot of swearing and grunting it all ended up fitting.
