Hints for XTM rail cover installation?

howdy!


I was wondering how the hell do you get those Magpul XT rail covers on?

No directions were included....... just the XTMs in a clear ziplock

Not a Mapul XT demo, but this should work for you.

You can also use warm water or a hair dryer to make them pliable.

My mistake.....

a) my rail covers are one piece XT rail panels
b) no label or literature was included

They are a real PITA to get on IMO, as are all the covers like that. Like the previous poster suggested, I have found that heating them up with a hair dryer really hot to soften them just a tad really helped.

I started at one end, rocked it on, and just worked my way down.

I really think heating them up makes it a little easier, and a little easier is just what I needed.
