Which aviator gloves are numerically sized? Everywhere I look they're all sized S/M/LG/XL.

I have a pair of Damascus size 10s that fit great, but larges fit me a bit too loose.

I was wondering about that myself. They must be commercial reproductions. The ones issued to me were in sizes S/M/LG/XL.

The only ones I've seen sized sm/m/lg etc. were at commercial retailers. I've been getting them issued for 22 years so I've never bought a set to see the difference.
FWIW, the best ones I've had in the last 5 years have been made in Pakistan. The worst ones have been made in the U.S. Who'da thunk.

I think that's where my number sized gloves were made too.

I work nearly every day in Nomex gloves. I can wear anything from a size 8 thru size 10. A size 8 fits very snug, while a 10 is a little loose. 9 tends to be my natural size, but an 8 provides me with the most dexterity. However, in my experience the tighter they fit, you will blow the seems out quicker and work holes in them. I've been wearing size 8 for the last few months, and have been happy. In my estimate an 8 would be a medium-small, 9 medium, 10 large.

Large fits me fine EXCEPT for the THUMB!

The thumbs are always too long. And that totally screws up any fine dexterity, and generally annoys the shit out of me.

What I need is a Size large - Cadet cut. But the Damascus 10s I have are perfect. My problem is where to get replacements when they wear out.

Every GI pair I've had were sized by number. I don't recall ever getting a pair in S/M/L. I wear a 12. (If someone knows where one might get a genuine GI glove in 12+, let me know.)

There's some good deals at the CLEARANCE link below. And they have the flight gloves in Sage green numerically sized for $12. I just bought 4 pairs of various gloves.
