I really need to start reading beyond the OP. I went to the page, and for some reason my browser didn't download the pic of it, so I just ordered it, and then went a little silly on some other stuff. After reading the rest of the posts, I called Magpul to take the sling off the order. The nice lady helped me take it off the order, but she said the real new sling would be available probably late Feb., and she let me put one on back order, along with the new plate (I can't remember the timeline on that). I told her to wait for both of those to ship together.

COOOoool.

Price, she mentioned something about that, but like they say if you have to ask....

but since you asked.

Codes

MAG500 (Sling I think $49?)
MAG501-dkear (Plate $29 IIRC)

They are just in the notes of my order, so they haven't been added to my invoice. I'll correct when I get details.
