Modifying a Kydex Holster

Looking for some tips from anyone familiar with modifying kydex. I have a kydex holster for my 1911 with a TLR-1. Just dropped in an extended/threaded barrel and the extra barrel is resulting in the gun not seating properly in the holster. I need to modify that area to accept the extra length; basically I need to remove a little more material. Any tips on the best way to do this, short of sending it in to Raven and paying them to modify it - if they even have the time to do it?

I just converted a comp-tac HK P30 to a P30L; used a heat gun to heat the tip of the holster and used some padded pliers to pull the lip away - then pushed the pistol through - took maybe 5 minutes, not much aggravation and not much heat is required. Doesn't mess up the appearance of the holster

I think I like Tac's idea better. Will have to look into it a bit more before breaking out a heat gun, but that just might do the trick, while keeping the holster intact and comfortable.

I pulled out the dremel, when I needed to modify my holsters. At the indoor range I used to shoot at the brass used to bounce off the wall and land in my holster. So I used the dremel to open up the bottom so the brass falls right through.

Did that to both the holsters that I used at the time.
