Which Gas piston upper?

I currently have a POF lower on the way. I hope to have it soon and want to assemble a Gas Piston upper to go along with it. I currently don't have any idea which one is the best. POF,LMT etc? What are any issues you guys have been having?
Which one is the best buy? Are they worth the extra $$$$$?

I received a test upper from "Chris" at ADDAX Tactical a month or so ago, an ADDAX Tactical GPU to be specific, utilizing the PWS piston system. It was sent to me to test with my anti tilt buffers, I know I've said it before but the fit, finish and assembly of this upper are absolutely gorgeous.

Its at least worth a look, or call Chris, hes a good guy. Heres a link- http://www.adxtactical.com/store/pc/home.asp

I hope this helps you.

I've got an LMT Piston. I can only speak for my rifle. I have had no issues and really like the options that come with it. Others might think those options are negatives, but I try to look on the positive side on most things!!!

That being said, there are those here and on other sites that have LMTs, LWRCIs, and POFs as 'factory' units and are very happy with these. Have you read about the ADC here: http://www.m4carbine.net/showthread.php?t=15229

Which ever you choose, please do your research first. LMT, LWRCI, and POF are all within a couple hundred dollars of each other which shouldn't influence your decision. Whichever you decide, make sure your bolt carrier is a one piece design or at least have the piece that the rod pushes on milled into the carrier.

Good luck and happy shooting!!

I went with the LMT

It was a hard choice for me at first I fell in love with the POF but after talking to them on the phone I decided they were a bunch of JACKASSES.

I then started to look at the LWRC and would have bought this one if not for an article in Guns and Ammo that compaired the major AR manufactures and what type of testing, tolerences and standards they hold there products to. Arter I read that artical the clear choice was the LMT.

It is still on back order though has beed for 2 months now the woman told me a 16 week wait but I dont mind its worth it for the discount I got.

I've had my LMT piston on order since October 30th & still no sign of it. The wait has gotten progressively worse 1st 4 weeks then 10 to 16 to 20 to 24. So, they must be putting pistons on the back burner or the back log is really really bad. You are right though, they are worth the wait.

PWS

I've heard nothing but good about the PWS piston system. I'm planning to have my 10.5" upper converted to this system soon.

Ask yourself;Which company will still be in business in 5 years? How about 10?Replacement parts and warranty work should be a concern for anyone buying a "new fangled" rifle.
I have an LMT piston gun.I am more impressed with LMT's design than the others.I also have a Sig 556 on the way.I plan on testing the Sig extensively;if I don't like it,I'll sell it.

I have two PWS piston guns. One 10.5 and one 16 inch middy.
Both guns run very well.(The 10.5 was finickey prior to the piston)
I wouldnt hesitate to get another.
