Big Crush Washer?

I just got one of Denny's 12.5" barrels. It came with a crush washer and A2 FH. By chance I also got a bunch of parts in from RRA at the same time, including stuff I needed for the build, a crush washer and A2 FH. I didn't know that the barrel was going to come with the washer and FH.

Anyway, I can't remember which crushwasher and FH I sent to my local builder. I got my build back and the washer was not on right. There was more showing on the bottom than the top. It looked lop-sided and goofy. So, I loosened the A2 to try and realign the washer. The washer would not go on right. It seemed awfully big, so I went and got my other one. The crush washer on the rifle was much bigger than the spare crush washer that I had. I looked at my factory LMT 10.5, and it had the small crush washer, too.

Now, the A2 came off with barely a twist. When I put the new small crush washer on it took some elbow grease on the last full turn to get it on. DId I do anythong wriong? Can you overtighten an A2 FH and Crush washer? I can't remember if this monster crush washer was included from Denny's or not.

Anyway, It looks good now. Just like my LMT 10.5"

i've seen the retarded oversized washers you speak of.. all hangy floppy off one side like a cyst on your ball bag or something. OFF! I like peel washers anyway.

As far as over-tightening, no worries. the first time you install it, you're actually smashing it, and it does take some effort to index.
