Graphics help?
I'm designing a new logo for our carbine club. Below is what I have so far. I'm having a hard time getting the text right, and figuring out something to put in the dead space above the dot, as well as adding something to make it Florida-centric (SE Florida would be even better).
Anyone have any input or guidance?
ETA, base image (more to come)

Depending on where/how you're planning to use it, that's a very busy graphic already. Look at some of the examples in the banner ads on this site in comparison.
The guy who designed both my logo and my "drop 200#" graphic is inexpensive and fast. He could take what you've already got and work from there or start from scratch. If you're interested, drop me a PM and I'll give you his email.

This is for stickers and patches, about the size shown there, as well as t-shirts at some point. Planning on having the stickers die-cut to match the outline, and maybe the patches too (obviously the knob will be smoothed for the die).
I was also thinking of changing the color of the non-threat to a solid color on the patches and stickers, and keep the "X" on the t-shirt, but we need to limit the colors since more colors = higher printing costs. Trying to keep it two-color (black and red) at most.
PM out.

I'd move the targets up so the dot is on the chest of the threat target. This would (a) make the targets more obvious and (b) fill in the huge white space in the reticle.
Another option would be to use that white space for your text, but it's probably not big enough.

I had thought of moving the targets up as well. I'm really fond of the implied head shot, but it just leaves too much space.

Im no pro, but in my degree Ive had to take some classes dealing with graphic design, and graphic software. I wouldnt mind taking a stab at this...but cannot promise a masterpiece. I will start now, but dont know how soon I can have it done.

Can you get me a good pic of looking through that Aimpoint? That would really help me.

You could move it to an absolute co-witness looking over the sights, with the dot in the upper part of the optic, and more of the targets showing.
Plus you'd get to answer weird questions from people who don't understand Aimpoints.

What all text is going on this? Do you want the Text to reflect florida, or do you want a palm tree behind them targets lol...

Added some text but it looks like ass. Would need bottom rockers of "S.F.D.C.C." over "T.S.S.A." to match the top rings.

Thought I'd also mention...
What we do is based on another club, the Florida Defensive Carbine Club. I've somewhat stolen their idea for the logo in that they use the ACOG reticule so I'm using the Aimpoint. They have the state outline in theirs which I don't want to incorporate.

Still too busy, I'd ditch the "no shoot" as well as the battery box.

I think it would look pretty sharp with just the stuff in the circle with a circular border (instead of the whole aimpoint) and the top layer of writing inside the circular border, with the group's name in the center in two levels above the silhouette. ETA: Though I suspect you may say that looks a bit too much like the logo upon which this is based, I was thinking this before you posted the source. Great minds think alike.

Getting better?
(I made the red dot a hurricane icon, mostly as a joke for now)

I like the last one, the hurricane is pretty cool.
I think you are going to have some issues with the text. Putting a sentence on top of a sentence like that will make it hard to read.
What about putting some of the text in black under the sight in the white area?
