Help needed with Quad Rail Panels Selection

Hello,
First off I would like to thank the members of this forum for all the great information that I have learned reading your posts.

I have an M&P15x with the Troy Quad Rail which came with Ladder panels but I would like to put something better on. What do you recommend and why? I am leaning towards the Tango Down panels.

Thanks in advance.

I used the TangoDown rail covers for years and for the longest time they were the only quality choice. I was never a big fan if the KAC rail covers, but not because the weren't functional, they just weren't my choice.

Fast forward to today....I don't really think there is any competition out there anymore since Magpul introduced the XTM rail covers. You can configure them as needed and they are not specific to carbine length gas systems. If I wanted the TD covers for my middie I had to cut and contour the panels but with the XTM this is a thing of the past. They lock up tight with no play but (for me) they are easy to move if necessary. They also feel like they have a slimmer profile than the TD's but that may just be me.

All of my TD covers have been replaced by the XTM's but the TD's are still a viable option.

XTMs rock- they're also the most cost effective option. you can do all four rails on your carbine for $32

It's kinda like cut and paste, mix and match put em wherever you want and they always look finished.
