Raven Concealment IWB soft hook install questions **now with pics**

I just got my IWB soft hooks for my RC holster. They are the rubber soft hooks that attach directly to the holster. I can't for the life of me figure out how they attach. Can anyone help me out.

They really aren't big on instructions or leaving any literature in their shipments are they.

I have the offset tuckable which just mount in the holes near the bottom of the holster, but it sounds like you just have the standard soft loops. Looks like you un-screw the snap's nubbin, and then put the backer/screw holder behind the holster and reattach the loop? You need to unscrew and reset the loops hole placement anywayto the size of your belt anway.

I installed all my stuff at least twice until I got it orientated and adjusted the right way.

Thank you for your response sir. However I still can figure it out. Kind of frustrating since I got the loops today and qualified with it to carry is off-duty but can't figure out how to get it together. Does anyone know If i have to use some of the hardware that was already on the holster (mounting screws for when using standard owb set up)?

Do you mean the rubber "LOOPS" ? Like these?

I've went through the Raven/Malabarfront site and can't find any "soft hooks".

Anyway, the loops are attached using the shiny screws located inside the snaps. Just remove the two standard kydex belt loops held on by the four little black screws on the back side of the holster, install the two loops with the shiny screws and you're done.

Yep, sorry, for IWB you need to remove the kydex belt loops on the back of the holster. Here is a pic from The Malabar Front website of the soft loops on and off.

I know you have to remove the owb belt loops first. I did that.

I'll post pics when I get off work tonight. I think I see how it's susposed to go but it doesn't work. Either I'm doing it wrong or the screws are too short.

Ok, here is what I'm working with:

I was able to get one on however, it barely fits. The screw is just BARLEY getting into the threads when I attach it in this manner. The other rubber hook WILL NOT go on. The screw simply cannot reach the threads. It seems the screw isjust too short. Am I doing something wrong? I'm thinking I should try to send them back for the IWB over hooks and take the guess work out.

One hook barley attached. Does not feel solid. Feels like it is going to pop out. Is this the right set up?

Sorry for posting so late. I work 2nd shift and got off late.

FWIW, I ditched my rubber loops for the over hooks. I couldn't stand the holster with the rubber hooks but love it with the over hooks.

not saying it'll work for you, just tossing that out there since you mentioned it.

Definitely looks to me like your screws are too short. Can you measure the length?

Mine were difficult to get set up, but I did it. Took me a while, as I found it was pretty hard to get the screw where it would catch on the threads. I got it done, and it feels pretty solid. However, I have found that I don't like carrying this holster IWB as much as I did OWB.

Mine were the same way. I emailed Raven and they said those loops are the only thing they don't manufacture in-house. Some of them were coming with shorter screws. They told me they'd send me the correct length hardware. Sure enough, 3 days later, my correct length screws were delivered USPS Priority mail. That's right, they spent almost $5 to ship .50 cents worth of parts. Customer service like this is what keeps people coming back to them. Email them for the correct hardware and you'll be GTG.

The rubber loops provided by Raven are made by Blade Tech, you can see the telltale "fish" logo stamp.

I bought a set of screws for $1.49 that are long enough and trimmed off the excess. Practiced with this set up for about an hour and found something I don't like about the rubber loops. I found that they act like a magnet for my cover shirt. The t-shirt gets caught on the rubber loops just about every time making for inconsistent draws from concealment. I'll probably end up getting the IWB kydex overhooks. But hey, the good news is when I get the overhooks I'll give the rubber ones away for free. I'll even cover shipping.

Did you trim them to the right length for your belt width? The Raven is Ok as on IWB, but I think it makes a better OWB. ( I actually had the tuckable, so YMMV.) Nice and wide and curved. The loops move too much on me, not that far, about an inch, but it takes far back enough that the butt starts to print badly (usually a 3:15 carry IWB). It also didn't force it as close to my body as I thought it would. Trying next a MTAC with velcro attachments. That should keep it still and more concealable. Though I do have to say that I've only been carry for a couple of months, and haven't even told the old lady

and she never outed me, and she knew that my CCW was in process now. So the Raven set-up works, she is pretty eagle eyed. I just felt I needed to wear a t-shirt to protect my skin and wick, so that's why I'm trying the MTAC with the leather. I've switched all my polos to Under Armour for wicking, but I think the fabric drapes so well it sometimes make printing worse. Its a journey.

I had the same problem, screws to short, I called them and a couple days later the right screws arrived.
To me, to have it as durable as possible, I would order 2 holster's and use locktight on the threads for each configuration.
I wish I could get it "tighter" with the IWB rubber loops.
