Troy front sight updates?

I was wondering if you had any plans to update your flip-up sights? I heard a few recommendations recently and they made some sense.

It has been suggested to me that the front sight protecting ears should not be so round. This allows for the shooter to try and line up circles instead of concentrating on the front sight itself. Especially under stress.

I have seen one extremely experienced shooter who has just slightly cut back his Troy front flip-up sights ears so they are less prone to this mistake.

I will try and get a picture of his modified sight.

I know it’s hard to justify any changes to a sight selling this well; it’s just a suggestion

Speaking of mistaken identity, the link to Midwest Industries home page on Troy's profile page took me to Midwest Industries Boat Trailers !
Troy, you may want to add "inc" to your linky.

Back to original topic.

I had a buddy in Zimbabwe who used a G3 and he would cut the top half of the ring off his front site for this reason.

I have been wanting to try the rounded Troy front site myself.

Buuut...I have been hoping someone would make a FS with ears that are round buckhorn style (like the HK style Troy) but "larger" so they are not visible inside the aperture and not visible around the outside of the aperture. Just invisible....That would be perfect!
