Dave Harrington (a.k.a. "Super" Dave) is the President of Combatspeed LLC which is located in Tampa Florida. Dave is a two time retired senior weapons instructor from the John F. Kennedy Special Warfare School at Ft. Bragg, North Carolina. 23 years of military experience, the last 16 of which he spent in the Army's Special Forces. He qualified as an expert infantryman, conventional and HALO paratrooper, Ranger, and finally combat weapons craft instructor at the John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center at Fort Bragg, N.C. Some of the nation's most elite counterterrorist fighters trained under Harrington there.

Class Weapon & Gear Requirements:
Carbine:
- Reliable carbine/rifle of reputable manufacture w/maintenance equipment
- quality sling
- Minimum eight(8) 30-round magazines
- Attachable Firearm light or hand held w/extra batteries
- Know your carbines zero. A 200 yard zero is recommended; expect to work at contact distance out to the maximum range allowed by the specific training site.
Handgun:
- Reliable handgun of reputable manufacture w/maintenance equipment
- Minimum of 5 / 15 rd handgun magazines or 8 / 10 rd handgun magazines. 1911 Drivers have at least 10 / 8 round or 8 / 10 rd magazines.
- Attachable Firearm light or hand held w/extra batteries
- Know your handguns zero and where you handgun hits. Expect to work at contact distance and out to the maximum range allowed by the specific training site.
Gear:
- Have two pairs of certified ballistic Eye & Ear protection. EYE PROTECTION MUST PROVIDE ADEQUATE COVERAGE OF YOUR EYES FROM THE SIDES.
- Critical individual First Aid Items; You need a first aid kit to treat yourself for minor injuries, and a individual blow out / trauma kit w/ items that will allow you to be treated for gunshot wounds and shock so you can be stabilized and transported to the appropriate medical facilities.
- Adequate magazine carriers for carbine/rifle and handgun (2 doubles/4 singles, etc.)
- Quality handgun holster
- Hand held light w/extra batteries
- Weapon lubrication and cleaning kit
- Have seasonal weather gear, functional clothing and foot gear. Have a 5.11 type vest or suitable garment if you would like to incorporate uniform issues with aspects of concealment. Duty uniform & equipment is recommended for participating military personnel and/or law enforcement officers to include body armor. Knee and Elbow pads are recommended. Be prepared to take notes!
Ammunition:
- 2,000 rounds of ammunition for your carbine
- 1,500 rounds of ammunition for your handgun
- Minimum ten (10) each inert training rounds PER CALIBER
*** Plan to eat lunch at the range on each training day! When packing out for training remember; Its better to have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it***
