This is a new VX III 3.5X10X40 scope. I bought it for an ar10 that i ordered. Well, the AR10 was just to heavy to carry thru the woods hunting. The scope was never placed on the rifle. The larue mount was bought the same time as the scope and is free with the scope. The finish is matte, it just looks shiny because i wiped it down with gunslick before putting it in the closet.
