a good paint/dye for cordura??

Does anybody have any experience with a good dye or paint to use on cordura or other hard to paint fabrics. I have used krylon but it soaks in and takes a ton. Then you end up smelling like paint for months. Not to mention it starts flaking off almost immediatly. Any ideas. THX

you can go lighter to darker, but not dark to light. i dyed a coyote body armor carrier to dark green for a friend in the ppark service. after a year of daily wear, it still holds its color, which has impressed me greatly. i used two bottles of liquid ritt fabric dye, and used boiling hot water in a old cooler. test it out on a old mag pouch first to see if you like the result.
