We are pleased to announce that we are hosting Larry Vickers for his 3 Day Pistol Level 1 course. This will be a MIL/LEO ONLY course at the Ottumwa Police Department Range in Ottumwa, IA.
Larry Vickers is a retired career special operations soldier with 20-plus years of service to our country. A longtime 1st SFOD- Delta operational member, he was a key player in the small arms marksmanship expertise and weapons selection of that Unit. Select Special Operations, Military, and Law Enforcement Units seek him out on a regular basis for expert combat marksmanship training. Considered one of the best combat marksmanship instructors in the U.S., he has become one of the most sought after instructors in the Worldwide Special Operations community.
Course will cover:
Safety
Stance, grip, sight alignment and trigger control
Reloads, draw, introduction to different skill drills
Dry fire and bullseye shooting
Malfunction drills, shooting on the move
Strong hand and weak hand shooting
Introduction to timed fire drills
Evaluations based on class skill level
Conceled Caryy methods
Night fire
Required Equipment List:
Eye & Ear protection
Serviceable handgun of at least 9mm Para caliber
Serviceable holster
Minimum 1 double magazine pouch
Minimum of 3 serviceable magazines (5 is better)
1200 rds of ammo - factory type (no reloads)
Suitable range wear depending on the season
Hand held flashlight and spare batteries
Water and Electrolyte replacement
Good attitude

A deposit of
$200 is required to be returned with your application. The balance of
$350 must be received by March 11th, 2010. If payment is not received by March 11th, 2010 you will be dropped from the class and your deposit is forfeited.
