My 870 build won't be complete until I get one of these. Put me down for one evil black UBR. I was told the CTR buttpad works on the UBR too?

Grant,
I'll take one in Olive Drab, if OD isn't available then make it FDE.
Thanks

Magpul is offering pre-production UBRs on their website for $245.
Does that mean the finalized product will be north of that price? I would think "almost alpha" beta test products are going to be lower in price to give people an incentive to save some dough by testing out a product that is bound to work, but might have a couple snags (texture isn't quite right, hardware finish might not be durable, sharp edge, minor things). I really hate to see this thing creep past $250. I think a lot of people were upset to see it push past $200.
Any estimates/guesses on the time gap between pre-production and final production? I would assume all the molds are done and only little tweaks can be done on the molds and whatnot. So close!

$250 is not unreasonable IMHO and $260-$270 wouldn't surprise me. If you look at the LMT SOPMOD kit, it is $250 and won't give you half the things that the UBR will.

I guess I'm just not entirely sure what the kit will include. I've seen CAD drawings of the rear hatch covers but no real definitive accessories other than rumored ones. I have heard bits and pieces about storage in that dead triangular space, swappable cheek welds. What else am I missing? will there be onboard battery cell storage with some addon cheekweld or similar?

I am still undecided on color but I'll take one atleast in black for now!! Heck, it may end up on my shotgun or I may have to build another rifle specifically for this stock.. I just can't stop, it's a bad addiction.. Are these going to be a milspec or commercial tube?? or both?? I am guessing both... J

Neither actually. According to Magpuls site...
"Unique tube and lock system allows for feel of fixed stock with versatility of a collapsible.
Comes with proprietary tube and all mounting hardware."

The last time I looked up that the UBR on their page, all they had was a pic and no info.. I just read it. That's definately interesting, but unsure on the proprietary idea but if it's a completely tight fit, I don't think I'll be able to pass that up.... Thanks for the insight... Jeff..

Do we have an updated ETA yet? That will effect whether I'm in or not.
Thanks
