Question 1911 Regulation for California...

I'm shipping my truck to Long Beach California. I'll be flying there from Michigan to pick my truck up and then drive all the way back to Michigan.

Can anyone tell me If I would run into any problems if I brought a 1911 with me into The Peoples Republic of California?

I wont be concealing it, just cased in the back seat (not accessible to the driver).
I have heard some 1911's being considered "CA Compliant"...and have no clue what F'ed up rule they may have conjured up.
