Sorry about the size of the pics. They were either too small or too large. How can I resize them to fit the screen width better without being too small?

Nice rifle ! Please help me decide on my next Colt . I have a 1968 Sp1 , Green label A2 20 inch A2 and a 6920 . Do I go for the 6940 , 6520 or a second 6920 ?
Did you really notice a larger advantage in the accuracy dept with the free float 6940 ? Thanks for any help ! Jerod

There is divided opinion on the 6940. Some people love them, some people don't.
I have thought about swapping mine out but every time I just can't do it. I really like the gun.
It does have some inherent advantages and disadvantages.
Biggest of the disadvantages are the non standard barrel nut and barrel extension. For some people this will not matter, for others it is a deal breaker. It is more accurate than any 6920 I have fired but it is not a target gun.
Mine has run sweet since day one and is in the middle of a couple thousand rounds with no cleaning. The only thing I really hate about it is the BUIS. I am not a fan of the matech but I just swapped mine out for a Troy.

A SOPMOD would balance it out very nicely. I use mine more as a bench/Prone rifle, but it does make a dramatic difference IMHO on balancing the rifle... It probably wont be seeing much action as of Mon, when my LWRCI M6A3 arrives... I will be adding a NF NXS 2.5-10 to it.

Seeing what you already have, I'd say the 6520 cause of its light weight, just wish they made it a flat top.

Interesting, I found the balance counteracted any "felt" weight difference at all. My Plan initially was to set it up as a clone of the MRP that I run with a T1 for training, and classes. I don't find the weight savings to be significant enough to give up the benefits of the SOPMOD's cheek weld and the balance it provides a railed rifle. I hate muzzle heavy rifles but that may just be me.
Everybody has a rifle and setup that works best for them, and that the one that they should run and train with.... It looks like you have found what works for you...
Great pics by the way...

TangoDown PR-4 http://tangodown.com/shop/product_in...products_id=40
Came highly recommended by Pat Rogers and others. I like it. No stock wrench needed and can be attached at three sides.
