Springfield Armory TRP Champion

I received a box today that I thought had my Aimpoint T1/Larue mount in it and low & behold it was something else! These are very rare they were only made for one year

Before

They put a Delta Hammer in, new serrated front site, reamed barrel, cut feed ramp, new extractor fit flush to slide, and put a set of beautiful Cocobolo Double Diamond Grips w/ bevel on her.

Now I have to decide whether to keep her as my eyes are so farsighted I now realize I can see the front site on a 5 in better than the 4 in

I'm still sitting her waiting for the Larue Box to arrive. Its gonna be a good day

Dave (head of custom shop) & I have discussed bobtail & 10-8 sights rear & gold bead front. The gun is LNIB so I need to decide if I'm gonna keep it first as some SA collectors might like it as is. Curse my eyes

Nice blaster and rare indeed.

I love the TRP line and have had the old style TRP Operator with the full length rail for about 7 years. I could never figure out WHY Springfield puts out a beautiful all black pistol and adds a goofy silver triger. I replaced mine with a black McCormack. All black gun to match my "black rifle".
