Rated as a airsoft/rimfire .22 scope.... I personally would never give $200 for it. I might go $50 for it, if I had a .22 that needed a scope.
The Timberline I have is very nice, and for less than your pal wants for that used one you can get one like mine with tha Balistic Plex reticule and all, it just does not seem logical to go for that one.
I do fully realize that my Burris Timberline is not a professional LEO/Soldier type of optical aid, but for my playing around on the farm it works really well. It lets me play around at 100 yards with detailed shots to the limit of:
1) My low ability
2) The low ability of my Wolf Ammo
3) My low ability!
The common limiting factor for me is...well.... me! So I do not feel the need to spend $500 on a scope that I will not be any better with any ways! I just suck that bad...LOL! But man, I have fun trying to get better!
