I wonder how LAV feels about being quoted out of context...

Sure enough, I can order up an M203 Flare Launcher real easy. If I want grenades for it, well... that's a different story.

Oh wait, I forgot, it's the FIRING PLATFORM that's evil...

...so, do we believe some chick on the internet, or the guy with the ATF manufacturing license who's been dealing with firearms laws in a professional capacity for years?

Hmmm...

Lady on the internet.

So unless I misunderstood that - they just glossed over the entire NFA Stamp and Form 1 issue?

Of course.

"OMG!!! THERE ARE LISTINGS ON GOOGLE!!!!"

I wasn't in the room but I would imagine that MSgt. Vickers spent a considerable amount of time describing the process one has to go through to actually get their hands on the launcher itself, AND to get ahold of the ammo...which, to the best of my knowledge, requires an individual tax stamp on every round of the fun stuff.

They just didn't run it. Hard to sensationalize something that way, you know?

They also glossed over the details of the "grenade launcher" arrests because how they were improperly acquired had nothing to do with it either! Typical Left Wing reporting. This has me pissed, now I'm going to be grumpy all day.

You can buy a hollow tube to mount to your gun?!?!? Nimrods... "And my Google search turned up 150,000 hits" or some BS like that. Google search your own name and see how many hits come up fucktard.

Look what I found out on Google:

Results 1 - 10 of about 1,250,000 for abc news is full of crap. (0.10 seconds)

Something tells me this bit of news is more accurate than that video clip.

Typical lamestream media conveniently distorting facts.

Heck.....my arm is a grenade launcher. Doesn't mean it's legal for me to put a grenade there!

Newsflash at ten......you can buy a gun barrel without any i.d. or background check

I believe that as well.

Chalk up another well sanitized sensationalized POS story by a liberal news agency.

That little morsel was nothing more than a complete journalistic hack job. They conveniently left out so many details it's not funny. And let's not forget one thing...a 37mm can be purchased over the counter (AFAIK) but there are no HEDP rounds for it.

The worst part of all of this is that the guy arrested had a FLARE LAUNCHER and not a 203.

I thought the worst part was talking about grenade launchers while showing videos of RPGs in the background

It's crap stories like this that make me really want to get into media. I realize there will always be crap stories like this but maybe I could do some good.
