Fixed Back-Up Sight Dilemma
Which one should I buy out of these three fixed rear back-up sights and why:
1.Midwest Industries
2.Larue
3.Daniel Defense
I have an Aimpoint M2 as my primary with a standard FSB.
Any help will be appreciated and sorry to ask the age old question.

I had the LaRue for a long time and used it with no complaints. I now have the DD, which I like better. Why? It is lighter, and sleeker. The LaRue was fine but the QD capability was always rather superfluous to me. Never really needed a fixed BUIS that I could pop on and off quickly. Nice not having that lever on the side of the BUIS now that I use the DD. One less thing to snag. The DD is also less expensive.
I have no experience with the MI sight.
Hope that helps.

I also made the switch from LT to DD. Only way I'd use the LT is if I needed to be able to mount a magnifier, which I do miss from time to time.

Any of them will work. If you don't need to remove the rear sight to accommodate night vision or magnifiers, any will work. If you need QD, the LaRue.

The DD is solid and the cheapest of all of them, and I think the nicest all around.

I don't have complains on the DD. but somehow... the DD looks right on short rifles. like 11.5in barrel or less.
Lmt looks right on a 14.5in

+1 for the DD
Although, as Rob said, if you're planning on using a magnifier go with the LaRue or get a folding sight from Troy or Magpul.
