I bought a pair of 5.11 Original Tactical pants to try out and they are too big. They are size 36 waist with 32 inseam, but these run large. I wear a 36 x 32 in Levi's. I ordered another pair of the 5.11's in 34 x 30 and they fit fine. So beware if you have never tried a pair of these.
I wore them for about three hours before I decided that a simple hem was not going to be enough. They have been worn for a short period and washed. There are no stains, tears, etc. I did get them as a closeout item from L.A. Police Gear:
