Build entire Colt upper or just replace barrel on LMT?

I've had my 16" LMT Defender for about 6 months now and have been very happy with it except for one thing: I can't get over how awkward and front end heavy the 16" barrel is. I'm used to 14.5" in the military so 16" just doesn't seem "right". I recently traded for NIW Colt 14.5 barrel to send off to ADCO to replace and perm install a longer flash suppressor but now I'm thinking I could have ADCO do a complete upper build. I've already got a spare complete bolt and stripped upper in my drawer full o' parts. Then I could just buy a lower and have 2 AR's, but it's kinda hard to justify having 2 rifles do pretty much the same thing.

What would you guys do?
