warrens not shooting point of aim

ok... put a set of warrens on my g19. shot with a bunch of m4c members this past weekend. katar shot the pistol and it shot point of aim... i was hitting low... WAY low. went home and put another 500 rounds through it. if i aim with the top of the front sight above the top of the rear notch, it shoots point of aim. if i shoot with the top of the front sight even with the top of the rear sight centered in the notch, i shoot really low. anyone else have this problem or isn't it a problem? plain rear tritium front.

I had the same issue, shooting about an 1 & 1/2" low, and had to use the same modified sight picture. I am in the process of having the Smith verify that the Warren FS is the same as the stock M&P FS, .165. It really pissed me off since the stock FS shot POA/POI. I may have incorrectly ordered a "Pro" sight, or one could have been mislabeled in it's package, so I'm installing a replacement to see is the situation resolves itself and sending the other back for a refund if it turns out to be the wrong height.

With Warren sights on Glocks many times they're off a little because they only make on set to fit all Glocks. You can correct it if its pretty extreme by shortening the rear a little or by buying a different sized front from Dawson. I like the Dawson's because of their fronts are serrated.

Robb, can you direct me to the specific front sight you recommend for a g19?

Also, if I ordered using a credit card and already paid the bill, how do I get a refund?

It really depends on that gun and what load you shoot I use Warren straight style 2 dots and they hit good for me from 5-25yds.

Kyle,

I would suggest letting a few other people shoot it and see how it shoots for them.

Wouldn't you want to shorten the front blade if you're shooting low?

Wouldn't you want to shorten the front blade if you're shooting low? That's essentially what I'm doing by shooting with the top of the front sight above the rear to achieve better results.

Yes a shorter front will change. Your POI making it hit higher.

I understand where you're coming from. However, I have always shot poa with no problems. After 500+ rounds, it seems the only way I shoot poa is to over compensate with the warrens. Seems a bit strange to me. I have no idea how you did it. I'm no pro, but I have a pretty good idea how to shoot a pistol. Don't know why these sights are the only ones I've ever had an issue with.

Or, perhaps, you were over compensating yourself. honestly, it's frustrating. I'm getting married and my funds are limited. I can't just keep buying sights.

Too late for refund from the company you ordered from, any calls to Warren Tactical themselves? Good luck. I didn't experience this with the Warren tactical sights on a Glock.

Which mall?
I'd recommend shooting it at 25yds and call Dawson and ask what sight height front you need based on how far off it is.

lol

Well, in all seriousness... I never touched your Glock before in my life, and I simply aimed it like I aim my own, which basically has the same sights.

So that's why I suggested having a couple of other dudes shoot it too, just to make sure it is not just some quirk that you have using these.

I have Warrens on three Glocks - G19, G17 and G34. They all shoot about 1.5" high. I've learned how to line them up to get close to POA/POI but I'm changing them out soon as I'm not a fan...

I have Warren's of one flavor or another on a G19 and two G17s. They hit a few inches above POA at 25 yds. I put a Warren .245" tall front on one of the 17s and that put it exactly POA=POI at 25 yards.

I've used Trijicon, XS, AmeriGlo, Dawson, and Warren sights on Glocks. Not counting the adjustable Dawson rears, I've never found any of them to hit exactly POA at 25 yds. All a little high at 25 yds.

Just to clarify - when shooting at 25 yards I do hold a bit low. But inside 15 it is pretty much hold dead center and I have no issues. Sorry if there was any confusion.
