Cav Arms C8 Handguards Won't Fit

I have a set of Cav Arms C8 Handguards that I want to install on a Daniel Defense mid length upper with round handguard cap. I have tried a number of times to install them with no luck. They bulge out along the seem and do not fit very well at all in the delta ring.

Now, I have a set of C8's on a BCM mid length upper and they fit like a glove. However, they do have a triangular handguard cap. Did I miss something and not realize that you can not use them with a round handguard cap?

You are correct, you cannot use them with a round handguard cap. The triangular cap is what you need - I believe BCM sells them.
