HD Ultimate Home Defense

My understanding is that these are virtually the same, if not exactly the same, as the Golden Sabre load.

Thanks, that's what I've been hearing but I've not been able to verify this.

I like the "extra 5 rounds". 25 rounds.....

Ahhh... remember when handgun ammo always came in a 50 round box?

TRUE Defensive HG ammo DOES come in boxes of 50.

Indeed. But they pack a lot of it in 20's as well. Most of the public can't stomach the price of 50 rounds of premium defensive ammo, (even though ammo is really cheaper today than it was 30 years ago....).

As a young guy I worked counter sales in a gun shop for a while. Customers would ask if they could just buy just enough hollow point rounds to fill the magazine or cylinder of the new gun they were buying, cause they weren't planning on shooting the gun unless "they needed it". I guess my having to tell them they were dumbasses if they weren't going to practice with it, was indicative that I made the right choice pursuing other career opportunities....
