Colt LE Rifle Production/Serial Number Question

Hello Guys, this is my first post on this site, although I have been lurking for a while and have to say that this appears to be one of the more professional gun boards.
I have a question for all those Colt nuts like me out there. I bought a coupe 6933's from Clydes last year and the serial numbers are in the 27xxx range. I'm in the process of buying a 6921 from them and the serial number is in the 30xxx range. Does that mean that there have been 3000 M4LE lowers made in the last year; I mean since both guns use the same lower. It just doesn't seem like there are that many out there on the market to me. What percentage of the 6933's and 6921's are in civilian hands vs owned by agency's? For those of you who are trainers, do you see a lot more agency owned Colt factory SBR's come through your classes vs Privately owned one's?
I am just curious as to how many privately own 6921's, 6933's, 6921SP's and 6721SP's there are out there. Your responses are appreciated.

Thanks,
Hootie

I do not believe that the 6933 is anywhere near as rare as the various dealers would have us believe.

Do you think that most of the ones out there are Department owned? I am just curious because I really didn't expect that big of a jump in serial numbers over the course of a year of so, kinda surprised me somewhat.

How can you tell the US made Colts from the Canadian made Colts?

I had this info PM'ed to me on AR15.com
Law Enforcement Carbine. This specially designed law enforcement weapon system features many of the combat proven advantages of the military M4 carbine and is designed for tactical deployment and traditional patrol. It offers a semi-automatic only mode. The Law Enforcement Carbine rifle is also available with a step-cut barrel that allows it to accept a grenade launcher for nonlethal options. We sold approximately 4,100 units of the Law Enforcement Carbine in 2004.

It is from here:
http://www.secinfo.com/dsvr4.z6s4.htm

There is a good bit of info there.

I think the rifles or rifle parts that are made in Canada have the Diemaco stamps on them. There have been a few on AR15.com that got Canadian Bolts or carriers in their rifles, and a few reported getting actual 6920's stamped made in canada.
