Thought my new 6920 was lost.....the USPS screws up again

I ordered a new 6920 the last week of June. It was coming from Alaska USPS so I figured it might take a little extra time to get here. At the two week point I contacted the seller to verify that it had been sent since my dealer had not received it. He verified the post office had marked it delivered on 2 July and wanted to talk to my dealer fearing the worst. I gave him the number so they could hash out what had happened to it. After about three hours, the post office located the rifle sitting in a corner in their back room. It burns me that they would mark it as delivered even though they didn't deliver it or have a signature. The other part that burns me is I drove the hour to the dealer to pick up the other items I had delivered to him on 3 July, so now I'll be making an extra trip because the USPS in the area is apparently filled with morons.

Sorry just had to vent.
