Lower reciever build problem.

Alright. I am building a new lower for my 14.5 DD upper. The lower is from a very respected high quality company on this site. I am sure you all can see the problem here in the photo.

I tried another Tango down grip and it is not quite as bad but still very obvious. I assume this is just something that it is going to have to go back to the company for. I guess I am just hoping I am missing something here that will easily fix the problem.

that doesn't seem right at all.

test fit a standard A2 grip... then you could see if the issue is the lower or Tango Down grip

I am well aware of all that. Trust me, this isn't my first rodeo. A2 Grip, MIAD, and 2 TDs all exhibit the same problem. I would not care but I can actually feel the ridge in the web of my hand. I get the feeling it would become noticeable when shooting.

I will call the company in the morning. I am sure they will take care of me. I was just hoping to not have to send the lower back. I just installed the LPK and as you know they are not meant to assemble and disassemble. Then again the LPK and lower are from the same company. maybe they will take pity on me.

My Tango Down BG-16 did the same thing when I installed it on my new lower. I just used it for a while and then I tried the new tango down grip the BG-17 and it solved my problem.

D. Christopher, there was no reason to remove your posts. They were informative. I was only stating that I did understand that already.

KentuckyWindage, I noticed that grip yesterday on TDs sight. However it looks to be about the same size as a Magpul MOE. That would make it a bit to large for the way I hold the gun.

I just got off the phone with the manufacturer. They offered to switch out the lower and the LPK at no cost to me. They were even offering to build it out for me and find a grip that would match the new lower.

I declined. The fact that they offered such above and beyond service says a lot to me. I have decided I am going to try to mark the grip and work on it with a file tonight to try to blend it into the back of the receiver.

Since I have contacted the company and they were so helpful I will go ahead and say who it is. The lower and LPK are from Daniel Defense. I think I am going to order a couple more just to have for future builds.
