    Rhino Gas Piston System

    I have equiped all my AR15/M16 with Walt's system.

    it must be around 1983. I installed Walt's Rhino on my first SP1 in 1982.

    Those were from the good old days.

    I had my gunsmith buddy mount mine up(PITA reaming for new taper pins on a old barrel) & it was nice because I could adjust the cyclic rate in my gun.

    Thinking back, I'm sorry I sold it!

    I love those thing I was lucky enough to find one about 6 years ago and snapped it up. I would actually consider buying another one if I could find it.

    GREAT piece of history when guys talk about the piston being a new thing. LOL

    The Armalite AR 18 I had was the best 60' to 70' era 5.56mm rifle I ever used slightly ahead of the FN CAL that had the best ergonomy.
    It predates the Colt 703.
