Vickers/Blue Force Gear 1911 Parts kit

Has anyone used this? I am looking at getting a Colt 1991A1 but want a combat hammer, and this kit looks like it may be the ticket, while improving the trigger at the same time. I know the name behind it is impeccable.

Id like to hear some feedback about these as well. Ive handled a couple of pistols made by LAV, and if those are any indication, these parts should be top shelf.

I've always wanted an LAV 1911.

But much like a dog chasing a car, I don't know what I'd do once I got one.

They are high quality parts with a reputable name behind them. As true with any 1911 parts they are not drop in.

I had my gunsmith install a set (classic hammer, sear, disconnector, plus strut) in my Colt Combat Elite. He was impressed with them. UPS is supossed to be delivering the gun back to me today and I hope to try them out this weekend.

I purchased a similar set from Dave Berryhill and am quite impressed by them. Just a hunch but I would not be surprised to find out that both kits were manufactured by the same folks.
