TSA Protest Item! Must See!
Hey guys,
My wife's mom is very sick right now, and we are being forced to fly back to the West Coast for the holidays. I am really happy to get to see the family, not happy to have to deal with the TSA on the holidays. I fly often for my career but haven't flown since the body scanners were put in place.
Anyway, both my Wife and I will be purchasing two of these shirts for our trip:
http://cargocollective.com/4thamendment
The person that thought of printing the 4th Amendment in metallic ink on a t-shirt, and under wear is a genius! This is an awesome way to make a statement utilizing one of our rights to protest the violation of another!

The way I see it I'll save maybe 5-10 minutes over my lifetime not typing that extra o at the end of to. Even typing up this explanation saves me more time than typing that extra o

They will just arrest you for interfering with the screening process.

Funny, but prepare for secondary screening and a thorough rectal cleaning in the very least.

I've participated in protests like this before, I am confident we will be O.K. I think the key is that you have to be willing to surrender to the humiliation they will put through in order to make your statement.
I will keep you all updated. We will be wearing these on the way back home (that way we wont miss seeing her mom if something happens).

They very well may.
The teenage son of a friend of mine was sent home from school for wearing a t-shirt with quotes from Thomas Jefferson written on it in magic marker because the quotes would 'stir controversy'. Jeeeeez

Nothing more foolish than passive aggresively protesting something and still subjecting yourself to whatever you're protesting by your own will.
We know human beings can be pieces of shit when given some authority. Why anyone else would risk punishment by testing their authority, even in a small way, is beyond me.
There are times and places where a person can draw attention to themselves to make a point. The airport is NOT one of them.

I don't agree. I think the airport is just as good a place as any.

I have to agree with Kal
If you do decide to "protest" at least make sure no one behind you is in a hurry. If they are then let them by. Or ask everyone behind you if they would like to go before you since you plan on causing a delay in the screening process. I know I would appreciate that.

I will try and not contradict my last post, but I agree 100% here. Do what you want and make a scene if you will, but don't slow me down through security. I am already annoyed by people with computers and carry on liquids that choke the process. I live at the airport.

I think the vast majority of TSA agents are good people, people who need a job and TSA is what they got. They don't make policy and those who do don't listen to the folks shaking down passengers at the airport. I don't disagree with the tee shirt but I can think of better people to tweak and better ways to tweak them. US Senators for example. Bill Nelson for example. I plan to do some phone tweaking next week. I have figured out that the inmates are running the asylum and I want to make sure Bill is taking his meds. I also want assistance getting money from the Pigford II settlement. 1.15 billion up for grabs and I want my cut. Yeah, I know it is for black farmers and I ain't black and I ain't a farmer but the program is known to be shot through with fraud and damn it, I want my share. And I want Nelson's office to help me get it.

Yeah, what bastards that have to bring a laptop with them for work.
In my experience, most people with laptops or the quart baggies have been around the TSA rodeo before and can zip through. The people who jam things up are the ones who have no freakin clue what they are doing.
