Can a 1.5X ACOG be effectively used with Irons?
Can a 1.5X ACOG Be used with Irons?
I would try it myself, but I'm at work.

No. Even a 1X optic won't allow for a co-witness with irons.

Only if you're on the cover of LMT's catalog.

Forget co-whitnessing, I'm just taking about flipping up the Irons and using them independent from the optic.
Like if I want to go from 100m with 1.5X, to 500m with Irons. I don't want to have to rip off the sight, and re-zero. That's stupid.
Would it work?
Now I just don't have a means to re-zero the gun if I rip off the sight.

1. Get a Larue mount as has been said.
2. get off set irons so you don't have to remove the optic.
