Carbine Operator Course
We still have some opennings for the Carbine Operator course March 14th through 18th at USTC.
Introduction: This course is designed to develop understanding and proficiency with a tactical carbine. Students will progress from basic handling and marksmanship skills to advanced shooting drills. This course will focus on techniques used in an urban environment.
Aim: The student will develop skills that will increase their speed, accuracy and confidence with the carbine.

Function and maintenance
Ballistics
Sight-in procedures
Fundamentals
Four ready positions
Transition to pistol
Magazine changes (admin, tactical and emergency)
Shooting positions and transitioning to shooting positions
Multiple shots and multiple targets
Non-traditional shooting positions
Sight management
Shooting on the move
Barricades
Transition drills
Low-light shooting
Ammunition Requirements: 2500 rounds Carbine and 250 rounds Pistol
Gear: Pistol, holster, belt, three pistol magazines, pistol magazine holders, carbine, sling, four carbine magazines, carbine magazine holders, wraparound clear eye protection, ear protection, weapons cleaning kit, clothing appropriate for climate and conditions, a water bottle or other hydration system, knee pads, weapon mounted flashlight and small hand held flashlight.
Method: This course will be taught using classroom lectures and practical field exercises.

Duration: 5 days
Course Cost: $995.00 including a certificate of completion. A variety of meal options can be purchased from our on-site dining facility for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Bunkhouse lodging is available at the North Carolina campus and may be reserved through your Sales Coordinator. Most items on the gear list may be rented via the application at additional cost or purchased at the Proshop.
