ready to make an order

i have made a few posts this last week to get help from you guys on what upper to purchase from bcm....with your help i had decided on the standard 16" midlength light weight in hopes that they will be in stock soon...well i sent an email their way today and recieved one back saying they probably wont have them in until late spring...i just cant wait that long...im ready to enjoy it.

so now i have two options

BCM Standard 16" Mid Length Upper Receiver Group
or
BCM BFH 16" Mid Length (LIGHT WEIGHT) Upper Receiver Group (.625FSB)

the bfh is about $90 more...and while i know it is a stronger barrel, i wonder if its benefits are gonna show for a guy like me who isnt gonna have the time to shoot it heavily...i want more to have a light weight barrel than the hammer forged barrel. and also this is my first ar.

so my question is: should i stick with the standard barrel and have more left over for my magpul moe foregrip, mags, rear sight, and ammo? or go all out for the BFH???

I would actually vote for the LW BFH. Either is a good choice. I just think the lightweight is worth it, at least it was when it was my money!

If I only had the money for the standard gov profile, but I wanted the standard lightweight (out of stock), I'd just save another week or two until I could afford the lightweight BFH. Then if the standard lightweight gets back in stock in that time, buy it and use the extra for more mags.

thanks for the input....i just went ahead and ordered the standard barrel...i want that light weight and i wish i had the patience to wait for it but now is the time for me to buy one....my reasoning was that it is my first carbine rifle and it gives me a reason to buy another one some day...ha. but it sure did feel alot easy to order up the rear sight foregrip and mags after going with the standard....maybe one day when i get around some of you experienced guys ill regret this decision but im all antsy in my pantsies right now
