2k of it down range so far.

Shit ammo but it works...sort of.

They're crimping the cases with what looks like a damned center punch. Some times if you've got a dirty chamber the cases will stick.

Whats weird is that thus far i havent had an issue with live fire. The cases only appear to stick when i want to clear my firearm, ie extracting an unfired round.

If you want to pay bottom dollar for ammo that goes boom most of the time go for it, if you're running a quality firearm you shouldnt have too many issues.

Also, the copper coating comes off and will leave you with a REALLY dirty gun. This is probably the dirtiest ammo ive ever shot and thats saying alot because i shoot the cheapest shit imaginable.

EDIT:

Guns used:

M&P9
M&P 9 5" Pro
M&P9C
A few through a Gen 4 G19.

I love shooting Russian ammo through my pistols. It's cheap and it works. Although I haven't tried that particular brand I wouldn't mind giving it a shot (no pun intended).

Just got a 1000 rounds from aim and out of the 289 I have shot I had one failure to fire. I tap racked and banged and when I was done found the round. It had a good primer strike and I put it back in the mag and tried to shoot it again to no effect so I threw it out. As Magz said it is really dirty.

eta: I was shooting a m&p9

I've been shooting that exact ammo from AimSurplus

I would not take it to ACTs or any match, but for just pumping rounds down range it's OK. Let's you practice some malfunction clearance :-)

In my first 500 rounds I've had numerous stove pipes, some double feeds, and two stuck cases. One of the stuck cases required a vice, dowel & hammer to remove. The second just required me smashing the upper edge of the slide really hard into the bench.

Based on the above advice I probably just need to do a better job keeping the gun clean when using it.

That's with an M&P9.

Ditto. I've had no issues with wolf or barnaul/brown bare after thousands of rounds fired. I will caution those who shoot steel russian ammo. If using an M&P, around the 5K-6K mark, you will start to develop light primer strikes due to the red primer sealant clogging the striker and it's channel. Soaking it in most cleaning solvents, to include plain ole rubbing alcohol and cutips, will get your pistol back up to speed.

I havent experienced this issue on any of my pistols, nor my rifles shooting the crap with primer sealant.

I have yet to clean the striker channel on a single one of my M&P's. Is there a possibility your lubrication habits are allowing the migration of crud into your striker channel?

i've used wolf and various colors of "bear"
haven't tried that one 9mm's are pretty hard to blow up barring a squib. I'd run that stuff all day in a glock.

the p7 gets vv 3n37 and FMJ though much as i love cleaning russian powder residue from everything...

Not really. If and when I do clean my M&Ps, the barrel and feed ramp is left with a light coat of oil, and lube the points as per the manual. nothing excessive to migrate the sealant through the firing pin hole. Pull one of your striker assembly's apart. You might be surprised at what you find.

I did, nary a drop of sealant or other red goop.

Good on you then. Mine was absolutely filled with it, all over the spring, back of the firing pin hole and firing pin.

Black or silver strikers?

I ask because they changed the striker profiles and there's a possibility that the newer gen strikers could be slightly larger or have a better profile that prevents debris from entering the striker channel through the breach face.

I only have one black striker left and admittedly that gun gets dirtier than my newer (more heavily used) silver striker equipped guns.

Silver in all mine. Can't explain the differences in experiences. This was on my 9 FS, which was shot with wolf exclusively, but that red goo filled the striker channel enough to develop light primer strikes. After a thorough cleaning, it was GTG.

I've used it. The rim is thicker than regular brass and caused problems for me. I used it in a Ruger LCP and Glock 19. The .390 was complete garbage. The 9mm wasn't horrible, but not reliable, at all.
