Marbles Ideal knife

I just visited the Marbles website and the only information I could find on their knives was an index to online dealers like Smokey Mountain Knife Works.

What a shame, I am thinking that they are missing out on military sales. Their Ideal knife, with a choice of leather washers and blued or parkerized blade and a stag handle with polished blade would be popular if distributed in the PX and BX.

Alot of Joes would like to have a quality 5" knife for under $100.

Has there been a development in the sale of the rights to make Marbles knives? Around the end of 2010, Marbles Arms shut down their knifemaking division, although I did hear rumors that another company was considering buying the patters]ns.

The short KA-BAR doesn't fit this role? I know it's got it's weaknesses (i.e., the tang) but they are a classic and still pretty good for the money...
