Our never ending war...

I haven't done any additional digging on this yet but it doesn't look good from this initial report I read. http://thehill.com/blogs/floor-actio...liban-al-qaeda

A good read of British Imperial history in India and Afghanistan (and Iraq) is in order for anyone who thinks there can be anything like a traditional military victory there. What is it that they say about history, those that don't know it are doomed to repeat it?

The Rise and Fall of the British Empire by Lawrence James is a good initial primer on the subject and perhaps an indication of the future direction of this country.
