    USA Tactical Firearms, Any Good?

I just discovered that these guys are only about 15 minutes from my house, but I don't know anything about their quality.

Has anyone heard anything about them, good or bad? I'm specifically thinking about a new stripped lower for a future build and thought it might be cool to have a town just down the road from me on the lower.

Lots of UTG and Leapers accessories on their site...does not bode well.

I wouldn't glance at that place if it was next door to my home.

I would go into detail as to why, but I'm hoping you'll just take my word for it.

I don't take anyone's "word for it". Much less, a faceless stranger on the 'net. If you want your opinion to count, you are going to have to give me reasons.

I don't have to give you shit, the answers to your questions are plastered all over this forum in virtually every single thread. Use the search button. I'm not giving you my "opinion", I'm giving you "answers". There is a difference.

The #1 give away (and the only specification they gave on their rifles, specifically the AR15 5.56mm 16" upper receiver with Phantom flash suppressor) is a 1:9 twist barrel. That, to me, indicates 4140 barrel steel, no HP/MPI testing on their barrel or bolt, inadequate bolt steel, and an AR15 bolt carrier.

What else is there? Oh, how about a "quad rail" with "rail covers". How is that not a give away? What is the point of having a "quad rail" if you are just going to cover up the rails with rail covers? What does that imply to you? I would tell you, but you don't want my opinions.

On top of that, you can get a time-tested, proven 16" BCM Carbine upper, double heat shield handguards, a quality BCG and charging handle for only $40 more.

They are a waste of money, they are products made using inferior materials with inferior quality control standards. If you had spent not even six minutes researching your question before coming on here and asking it you would have saved everyone here alot of time.

I have seen them at the local shows and being a NC resident as well I feel confident in telling you to steer clear of everything but a stripped lower....assuming you like the idea of having a lower made in your hometown. They sell a product that may be okay for a hobbyist, however when top of the line is available for only a few buck more why go there.

We can escort you to the bordello, but we aren't going to slip the condom on. I looked at their website and the warning signs were everywhere.
