Archangel Marauder 10/22

Turn your 10/22 into a G36 lookalike with the reliability of a 10/22. Drop in the 10/22 action and barrel, has a folding stock and also accepts the25 round 10/22 magazines like the Butler Creeks and new Ruger BX-25 mags. Archangel has their own mags, they fit a bit tight. , but the BX-25 fit perfect. I've dry cycled and it seems to feed and eject fine. Wont have time to take it to the range this weekend.

As of now Midway has this in stock for $159.99

I wasn't aware they were out. I gotta admit they do look like a fun way to dress up a 10/22. Just two questions.. Does the plastic feel durable? Does the selector on the stock do anything or is it stuck in one position?

its a faux selector. Remember it uses the 10/22 action, trigger group, trigger group and barrel. So it already has the 10/22 button safety. The plastic feels very sturdy, I like it. Small complaint is the stock is too low for a cheek weld, but then again its a .22 so who cares. I had a Primary Arms Microdot laying around so I put it on after taking photos. Installation is easy, took me about 30-45 minutes. Could do it in 10 minutes after knowing what to do. The kit comes with a new bolt catch and extended mag latch which replaces the stock 10/22 one. You can see them in the last picture. You also have to remove the front and rear 10/22 sights to install this. Actually for the front sight you could leave it on but you cant put the faux can on. Nothing a punch set cant handle.

Field stripping for cleaning will be a bit of a pain since you have to basically disassemble everything to get down to the 10/22 action to strip it.

I know it's just a body kit, but it's a good looking body kit.

Aww, they don't come with the plastic bayonet anymore or am I thinking of a different kit?

Looks factor is kinda cool, but I don't think I could ever get around the still just a 22 angle.
Not that I'd stand in front of it mind you.
