Salvaging Insight/Streamlight M3s and M6s

I am sitting on a batch of old Insight/Streamlight M3s, M3Xs, and M6 lights that were removed from service. Is there anything out there available or in development that will give them some utility again, or is it time to just chuck them?

The M6s offer at least a laser pointer, but the white lights and overall performance on the M3 and M6 is completely unsat.

Skintop,

You've probably seen these but there are some LED conversion kits for some (if not all) of the mentioned lights. A quick search yielded this: http://www.google.com/m/products/det...6116758957540#

The M3/XM3 is still a viable weapons light. I like the extreme light weight and have one right now on my carry USPc (GG&G adaptor). If you can mix and match parts to get working units they make great lightweight carbine and/or shotgun lights too. With an adaptor they can also be used as helmet lights if your helmets have rail adaptors. If you want to unload a few, let me know, I can cannabilize them for parts as they are our issue light.
