How to Support the NRA (and your 2nd A RKBA), By Shopping at Amazon, No Extra cost!

Whenever you plan to shop at Amazon.com (think Christmas, birthdays, graduations, etc.), you can support the NRA. There is NO INCREASE in the cost of your merchandise. All you have to do is go to the NRA homepage (or use the link below), click on "Shopping" in the left column and on the middle part of the webpage, several mini-pages will appear offering you shopping options. Clicking on the Amazon mini-page will then transfer you to the Amazon website and tell Amazon that you arrived via the NRA's homepage. Amazon will then donate a small amount from your bill to the NRA without increasing your bill.

Just use this direct link as your amazon bookmark.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/homepage.ht...482038-4929528

That's the NRA affiliate number being passed in on the URL.

You have to click it, don't try to copy/paste.

Once it opens, set it as a bookmark.

That's a great idea and I'd be happy to do it, but it isn't working for me either?

Thanks.

Nice. It's working now.

Do your purchases have to be firearm/s related, or can they be for anything at all?

Anything you buy on Amazon will send the NRA a commission if you follow the link.

I do not see any indication that this is something going to the NRA. How do I confirm this?

Follow the directions by going through the NRA homepage, it will give you the same URL when you link to Amazon.

Their site is a little wonky right now, link to their site where this is advertised?

I went to the NRA website, clicked shopping, and found the amazon thing (this is on their FLASH [ugh!] website) under shopping. Clicking that I got to:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/homepage.ht...482038-4929528

So that 104-0482038-4929528 would be the NRA affiliate ID. (Interestingly my Amazon affiliate ID is not a bunch of numbers, but is a text string)

You can't really post a link since the NRA site is now all Flash. (And I could not find it on their "classic" site).

But if you go to the Flash based nra.org website, click on shopping in the left menu, and then click the dots in the results page until you get to the Amazon page and click that, you will get to the Amazon home page with the NRA affiliate code listed in it.

Correct, I should have mentioned that it is on their flash site. But now that it has been confirmed, it is much easier to just bookmark the link that Chad or myself posted, and use it when you are going to shop on Amazon.

Weird, do a search on NRA's site for "Amazon" and I get this error message:
Quote:
NRA.ORG is temporarily unavailable.

Please visit the site at later time. Thanks for your patience.

Yeah, I had that happen as well.

Someone should knock their web people up side the head and tell them to Ditch the FLASH crap. That is so 1990s "ultimate web experience"
