PWS comp perm install

Hi, looking at getting a 14.5 middy BCM upper and wondering what I should get attached. I dont plan on running a suppressor so is the PWS a better choice then the surfire mb556? The whole reason Im getting this is to replace a piston upper. I couldnt stand the recoil and I want something much softer, so getting the standard a2 doenst make much sense.

Thanks

Im looking at getting this upper and the either hacking off the FBS or changing it for a low profile block and putting 12" free float handguards on it. I just want to make sure I get the right muzzle device on it. The only reason Im going back to DI is the recoil characteristics. I want to make the most of this build.

I just installed the pws on my noveske and all though it cuts the recoil quite a bit, it is loud as hell to me and anyone around me. So if your shooting with others a lot, I would go a different route. PWS I local to me so that's why I went with them.... Or you could go with their triad it's supposed to be a lot quitter

Would the surefire 556 be a better choice? Its almost twice as much.

if your not going to suppress, then go with an a2 or BC.

Yup, if you must have a comp, get the battlecomp 1.5. It's the least obnoxious mb Ive ever come across.

+1 on the BC. Best all-arounder IMO. And as stated above, the least noise/flash signature.

I'm pretty sure you have your answer of neither one, unless your set on one of the ones you listed I've never had experience with the SF so I'm biased

would it be a better idea to just get a 16 inch upper and experiment?

If you are on the fence about what you want, I would say getting the 16 inch and experimenting is 100% what you should do. It's a lot more PITA removing a perm attached mount than unscrewing one.

sounds like this may be your 1st ar? You also sound very uncertain on what it is you exactly want. I suggest getting a 16in that way you can take off add things till you find what you like. You wouldnt notice a real different between 14/16 anyways
