Aimpoint on Winchester 1894AE?

What is the best way to mount one? XS makes a rail but only fits 94s with a dove tail rear sight which mine is not. There are two screws just forward of ejection port to mount a rail just need to find a rail.

Now that I look at the rear sight it looks like it is dovetailed in....

Huh? An Engle-Eject (AE) gun is drilled & tapped for 2 piece scope bases. Look at the scope base pics on Midways site to see what they look like. The '94 was never designed to accommodate a rail over the receiver, and I'm not aware of anyone offering one. One caveat: in some states, it is a felony to mount a scope on a lever-action, much less a red dot.
