As some of you already know, i have a 11.5" Barrel on my upper with an A2 FSP.

My question is this:
If i buy a DD AR15 Lite Rail 12.0 FSP, will it fit my upper/barrel/FSP?

I currently have ARMS SIR and can't stand it!

Pics will be greatly appreciated!

I can't find exact dimensions on the DD site.

Although you didn't specify, I am going to assume you have a carbine length gas system, not a midlength (will a midlength even fit on an 11.5"?). The FSP 12.0 should fit just fine, although your barrel and flash suppressor will be covered almost entirely by the rail.

More information here https://www.m4carbine.net/showthread.php?t=1185 but I've never seen a picture of exactly what your setup will look like.

Thanks, gkanga
That's actually kind-of the look i'm going for.

Yes it will fit your setup if you do a 'shaved' FSB like I've done for many customers.
Here' a sample of my work. For a 11.5" barrel about a 10-11" rail is about it for maximum length.

Cut and ground down from a front sight base (FSB), and will fit under a LaRue rail or DD Lite Rail.

I was looking at the one with the space built in for the A2 FSP.
Will I need to get a new different GB?

Nothing needs to be modified except for removing the front sling swivel to fit a FSB DD rail on a FSB barrel.

NICE!!
Is it yours?
Could you post pics of the front where the rail extends over the barrel?
This is along the same lines as what i want to do.
Thanks!!

Thanks Paulinski,
I really appreciate it!
BTW - Nice Stick!
If possible, could you also take pics of how it attaches to the upper?
This is really gonna help me with my build!

Some quick pictures.

The rail attaches via the DD barrel nut that is provided with each rail. The trickest part is to slide the FSB along with rail over the barrel then tap the FSB pins in.

OKAY...
can anybody give me a good reason NOT do go with the Troy 12" MRF-CX?
Is weight a major factor?
I have to say...I like that the Troy comes in FDE, and it creates an un-interuptable rail...

Not to mention it's cheaper...

WAIT! I just checked the DD website, and yesterday the AR15 Lite Rail 12.0 FSP was $360.00...now it's $442.00!!!!!!
What happened????

The Troy is $275.00

WTF??

I personally don't like the extra real estate when it sticks past the front of the FSB. I had a 12.0FSPM for a 9.0 midlength. I cut about 1.5" right off so the sides ended before the FSB.
