...and it's truly frightening. Every publicity pic of Mikhail Kalashnikov has his finger on the trigger!

It's more of a macho thing in Russia than anything else. I suspect the real HSLD (I don't mean Spetsnaz) units employ Western gun-handling techniques - however I can't back that statement up.

It looks like the technique is: turn your head away from the gun, hold it as far from your body as you can and pull the trigger as fast as you can.

There are a whole series of those videos. It looks like some of them are shooting from a scenic viewpoint. The one thing they have in common is they all look away from the gun while firing. One gal even has a cigarrette in her free hand. I hope they didn't hit anyone else in the area with their wild shots.

WTF??? Everyone of those flatdicks looked at the cameraman or the gun while they were shooting! DOesn't matter where the bullets go, just look cool. I'm glad they shoot and handle their guns that way, maybe they'll take a few of their own with them. I hope they're not on our side.
